Thank you!
Phew! Well thank goodness that’s over. A very big thank-you to everyone who came to visit us. It was great to see you all and you really helped to make the day fun rather than nerve-wracking.
If it wasn’t for a dose of labyrinthitis, at least one of us would have enjoyed it even more rather than wishing to curl up under the table.
It was quite an experience but we had lots of good feedback and comments and plenty for us to think about before we do another one!! (Really? Yes, really.)
Our next step will be to add a gallery of our artwork to the site, but that might take a week or so.
Thanks once again for all your support.
It’s the countdown to 15th September: countless paintings to mount, frame and generally organise. Not to mention how two hapless artists are going to organise their tables. And that goes without trying to tempt friends, family and people who walk by in the street to come in and have a look.
Are we mad? Our teacher Mario would say no. It was he who prompted us and the rest in the class to sign up to Ealing Beat. Indeed, he’s threatening that he wants us to apply for the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition next year. Good luck with that Mario!
In the meantime we’re sticking, labelling, framing and panicking. If you see two straightjacketed ladies with blue in their hair next weekend you’ll know the worst has happened. But if you’ve some spare cash in your pocket and fancy buying some early Christmas presents then come along. We come under the heading of the Fine Art Room, St Aidan’s Hall, St Andrews URC Church, Mount Park Road W5 2RS. Just look out for the balloons!
